RICE Charity

by | Nov 25, 2024 | Unassigned

This month we have had the honour to work with Adam Mohamed, a 10 year old boy and founder of the RICE charity. RICE otherwise known as Reaching Individuals, Community and Everyone focuses on combating homelessness within the UK by supplying those in need with rice pudding. In this blog we will be discussing the incredibly positive impact Adam is having on the UK, and how his charity can help support thousands during challenging times.

The Importance of R.I.C.E:

What started off as a passionate hobby for Adam, quickly became a functioning business, after he graduated from the BusinessKids Entrepreneurial Camp. Set up by Lyndee Oscar and opened by the former Mayor John Jowers, BusinessKids reopens during the summer. With a committed focus on nurturing the next generation to not only be driven by success, but allowing participants to pursue their passions, learning is both fun and experimental. This local Colchester camp, formed in April, teaches children about financial literacy, decision-making skills and the ability to plan, helping to prepare them with the knowledge for a future career in business.

Adam has been deeply passionate about making a difference within the community, becoming an excellent example of the qualities a young entrepreneur should have, being both a great leader and filled with creativity. RICE as a charity is highly important, spreading awareness to those battling with homelessness, especially within our local area. With each batch of rice pudding being handmade by Adam himself, he hopes to spread that joy and homemade care to others.

Success and Aims For the Future:

With the ever growing success of this amazing charity, Adam has begun to sell his rice pudding at the GO4 Enterprise Café here in Colchester! In the future he is also aiming to work to support Beacon House Ministries, a charity that fights against homelessness, by supplying his rice pudding. As well as this, he is also getting in contact with leading British grocer Tesco, in hope to gain the necessary ingredients he needs to make RICE a community-focused organisation.

How Universal is Supporting Adam:

Danny Nevill Meeting with Adam Mohamed

Here at Universal Web Design, we are working closely with Adam to produce an £8,000 website for RICE, to help to promote his company even further. Founder Danny Nevill has met with Adam himself, supporting his brilliant charity at every step of the way. Having entered entrepreneurial programmes from a young age, Danny highly respects Adam for his selflessness and caring nature especially for helping those locally in need. Best wishes to Adam and the growing success that RICE continues to have!
