The former Notley High School pupil has just completed her first year in the office, where she has come a long way since joining the marketing team at UWD – she has incredible potential to go a long way in the industry.
Georgia mainly focuses on Social Media Management for our clients, engaging all business industry audiences with her professionally written content. Georgia also designs marketing templates and a lot of in-house necessities such as our new brochure which is coming soon – she has a keen eye for a detail!
The Braintree born 19 year old recently went on to secure the Head of Marketing position, where her forward thinking approach has the team singing from the same hymn sheet.
Georgia’s close knit bond with fellow marketers Sofie Samuelsson and Mark Tuxford, ensures clients get an all hands to the pump experience with their marketing campaigns through a variety of different avenues. The team regularly discuss strategies and implement new ideas under the guidance of Georgia, you won’t go wrong with the passion, drive and expertise our team has!

What attracted you to the role at UWD?
“I was attracted to the role at UWD because of the creativity aspect to the role. I have always enjoyed writing as well as being on social media all the time myself, I knew it was a role I would fit in well with. When I came in for my interview, I was attracted by the kind and professional nature of the team and knew it was one I wanted to be a part of.”
What’s been the best part about your first year at UWD?
“The best part about my first year here at UWD has been all of it really! I’ve loved seeing the team and my client base grow as well as being given the opportunity to head the marketing team. It has truly been a great year and I’m excited to see what the future holds!”
What is a normal working day like at UWD?
“Truthfully, no day is ever the same and that’s what makes it so exciting! From designing email templates to generating reports and scheduling Social media updates, every day is different in it’s own way and that’s why I love my job!”
How are you enjoying the Head of Marketing role?
“I’m loving it! I really enjoy the responsibility as well as helping out my team where I can – it’s great to have such a knowledgeable and friendly marketing team to work with every day!”
What do you do in your spare time to unwind from a busy week at work?
“I’m a keen horse rider and spend much of my time at the stables, as well as spending time with my family – we were really into Love Island so we’ll have to find something else to watch now!”
What is the best marketing campaign you have worked on to date?
“I have two favourites of mine at the moment. One being ViPrizes who are a competition business – their concept is fantastic and we’ve grown their facebook page all the way to 1K followers in just a few short months! The other favourite of mine is District Link who are a taxi company. It’s really great to see through Social media how many people love them and they’re also a local Braintree company!”
What advice would you have for those looking to join the company?
“Work hard and reap the benefits! We’re a great team here and all work extremely hard to ensure our clients get the very best, so if you have a can do attitude and are highly motivated, you’ll fit right in!”
What is your favourite food?
“Easy… Tuna Pasta Bake! The secret is to put crisps on top just before you put it in the oven… delicious!”
What is your favourite Film/TV Programme?
“They’re too many to list – some of my favourite TV programmes include Love Island, Gossip Girl, 90210, How To Get Away With Murder… Some of my favourite films include Dear John, The Best of Me, Titanic and many many more!”
What is your favourite song?
“Anything by Eminem, but most recently I have been listening to the soundtrack of Mamma Mia 2 after watching the film!”
Top FIVE celebrities you would have round for a dinner party? (Dead or alive)
1. Justin Bieber – so that I can convince him that he shouldn’t marry Hailey Baldwin and that I’m his perfect match!
2. Channing Tatum – so that he can re-enact Magic Mike!
3. The Queen – i’m sure she’s a right laugh really!
4. Zac Efron – he’s lovely to look at.
5. Danny Dyer – him and the Queen would work wonderfully!

“Probably becoming the Head of Marketing at UWD – it’s something I’m very proud of!

“I’m a pretty quick reader and once on a sunbed in a sunny location generally go through a book a day!”
